  • A deep dive into understanding how to craft an image, learning to shoot on DSLR camera and post-process editing. Through virtual presentation, group critique and independent work, students develop a range of visual and technical skills using digital approch to photography.

  • Providing a very broad overview of digital photography as a unique form of the medium so as to encourage a more holistic understanding of it as both an art form and a technical craft.

Massachusetts Service Alliance, MassArt‘s Center for Art and Community Partnerships(CACP), Boston, MA – Commonwealth Corps Student and Youth Engagement Coordinator, August 2018– 2019

  • Building relationships with CACP’s partner sites. Facilitate a partnership between an undergraduate photo class and a youth community organization outside the college. contribution to class discussion to explore the issues of agency, identity and representation in portraying a community.
  • Help recruit and build relationships with a diverse student team and volunteers committed to engaging meaningfully with the wider community.
  • Making series of videos and interviews with students and their supervisors in multiple community organization including Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Gardener Museum to support and promote PartnershipWORKS program. PartnershipWORKS is the program through which CACP hires MassArt students each Fall to work with its partners across the city in variety of positions.

Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), Boston, MA – Visiting Artist, “Beyond the Shot” workshop, Feb 2019

  • Students develop the photography, interviewing, graphic design, and layout skills they need to present work professionally.
  • Students learn non-destructive workflow of processing images in Photoshop, possible ways of incorporating text and image, InDesign skills to demonstrate idea as a photo book form.
  • Collaborative group activities to co-create images and respond to artwork by answering certain questions.

Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Design and Media Center, Boston, MA – Exhibition curator,  Fall 2018

  • Working closely with a MassArt’s photography course called Portraiture and Community Representation which brought together MassArt photography students and youth from Sociedad Latina (a local community-based organization) to co-create portraits in a semester-long project.
  • Supporting many elements of this collaboration including coordinating visits to and from College, documenting process and curating final exhibition show.

  • Proficiency in handling a 35mm camera, exposure control, film development, printing with enlargements and making photograms.
