With the Islamic revolution in 1979, Iran became a theocracy. This state is polarizing, both in the country itself and in the world around it. The Forum for Contemporary Photography and the Raskolnikow Gallery are very pleased to be able to show a selection of current photographic positions from Iran in cooperation with the Fotohof Salzburg. The participating artists Newsha Tavakoli, Behnam Sadiqi, Navidreza Haghighi, Laurence Rasti, Bahram Shabani and Hannah Darabi give insights into the reality of life of Iranian society, which is otherwise hardly accessible to outsiders.

The exhibition and the catalog, which will be published at the same time, will be co-financed by means of taxation on the basis of the budget adopted by the Saxon Landtag and the Town Twinning Fund of the City of Dresden.
